Description The American company UGG was founded in 1978 in Southern California. Australian surfer Brian Smith and his business partner Doug Jensen started it with the intention of giving Americans access to the cozy sheepskin boots that were popular in Australia. Since then, the company has transformed the style of comfort footwear and switched to renewable materials like sugarcane produced in rainwater rather than EVA made of petroleum. The shoe’s monotone design is enhanced with details such as the recycled materials used for the sand and white plaid laces. The tongue and outside heel are branded with the UGG logo.
